Wilshire Hospice is seeking caring and compassionate individuals to be In-Home Hospice volunteers. Hospice Volunteers typically give a few hours a week for caregiver relief, companionship and emotional support. This service is the heart of Hospice Care and often invaluable support to the patient and family as they go through this challenging time at the end of life. Volunteers may also provide practical support such as lighthouse keeping, simple meal preparation and running errands.
Volunteers are needed in all areas of San Luis Obispo County and North Santa Barbara County. This in-depth training presents you with a soulful opportunity for personal growth while equipping you with the skills you will need to support hospice patients and families and provide you with a meaningful volunteer experience.
The Training will be held in our San Luis Obispo office, Mondays from 1:00 to 5:00, October 23 through November 13. You must pre-register to attend.
