Wilshire Hospice is looking for caring individuals to be Hospice In-Home Volunteers. This meaningful, in-depth 20 hour training begins on Saturday, 10/11 with our Living With Dying Workshop and Training and continues for the next 4 consecutive Wednesdays, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Volunteers are needed in all areas of SLO County and North Santa Barbara County.
Hospice Volunteers provide support and companionship for Hospice patients and their families for a few hours each week. Our training presents a soulful opportunity for personal growth while equipping you with the skills and support you will need for a meaningful volunteer experience.
Serving San Luis Obispo County since 1998, Wilshire Hospice is a local, not-for-profit licensed Medicare Certified Hospice offering comprehensive Interdisciplinary Team support including visits from Nurses, Social Workers, Spiritual Counselors, Therapeutic Musicians, Home Health Aides, Registered Dietitians, Bereavement Counselors and Volunteers. Our goal is to provide all the things that terminally ill patients and their families need most: freedom from pain, emotional and spiritual support and the ability to control the direction of their own care.
