Literacy for Life is looking for Volunteer Adult Literacy Tutors.
Work one-on-one with adults with various levels of english proficiency. Volunteer tutors set and work through individualized goals with learners, tailored to their proficiency levels, ranging from foundational skills to preparing for the citizenship test. Training and books will be provided.
Tutors meet in person for 1-4 hours per week to build basic and conversation skills, so the English learners can participate more actively in the community. We have learning centers throughout San Luis Obispo County: Atascadero, Arroyo Grande, Cambria, Los Osos, Nipomo, Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo. Our upcoming tutor orientation/training is scheduled for March 18 & 25, 2026, 5:30-8:30pm at Canyon Creek, 400 Oak Hill Rd, Paso Robles.
