We are looking for volunteers to facilitate dementia caregiver support groups throughout San Luis Obispo County, particularly in:
- North County (Atascadero)
- Cambria
- 5 Cities
- San Luis Obispo
- Spanish speaking
This volunteer position facilitates support groups for caregivers of someone with any type of dementia.
After completing the training, we ask for a minimum of a one-year commitment of at least monthly meetings of the support group, participation in ongoing quarterly education and check-in's with the local Alzheimer's Association program manager.
Support groups typically meet monthly for 90 minutes.
