We are looking to expand our board. As part of our reorganization we would like to add 3 to 5 new board members. We hold a monthly board meeting during Earth Day Season: November through June. Board Members plan and coordinate each Earth Day Event. Each board member is to lead or work on one of the organizing committees.
The main purpose of the Earth Day Alliance is to put on an annual Earth Day Fair/Festival. We also attend other events when invited. We share the message of preservation, care and protection of the Earth through our website, social media and appearances at events.
Earth Day is April 22. Our annual event is on or about that date each year. Admission to Earth Day is for all ages; admission is free. The fair provides an opportunity for businesses, nonprofits, government agencies, schools, clubs, students and families to share their cause, message, product or program to protect and preserve the planet and to slow down climate change.
We are an all volunteer organization. We enlist volunteers to help us before and on the day of the event.
We are able to cover the cost to put on the fair through vendor fees, grants, and funds raised through the beverage booth.
We welcome people with organizing, grant writing and/or fundraising experience.
