Who We Are
Animals In Need was founded in 2008 and incorporated in 2011 to fill the gap. Animals In Need Fund has developed a four-fold approach to help animals in our community: subsidize veterinary care, support sterilization, collaborate with community animal interest groups, and rehome through our Petco Adoption Partnership and Animals In Need Fund adoption program
What We Do
The Animals in Need Fund accepts stray cats and dogs brought to us by Good Samaritans and San Luis Obispo County Animal Services. All animals are examined by a veterinarian, advertised in local papers with local rescue groups and veterinary clinics. If an animal is returned to its owner we ask for a donation to Animals in Need Fund. We also accept pets that are relinquished by their owners on a case-by-case basis
