Who We Are
Morro Bay National Estuary Program works to protect and restore the Morro Bay estuary for people and wildlife. The Estuary Program is a collaborative, non-regulatory, nonprofit organization that brings together citizens, local governments, nonprofit organizations, state and federal agencies, and landowners to support a healthy environment and vibrant local communities.
What We Do
The Estuary Program plans and executes conservation and restoration projects throughout the Morro Bay watershed, monitors the health of local creeks and the bay, conducts research, and helps teach people how to keep the bay clean and healthy. Find out more at www.mbnep.org.
The Estuary Program manages the Mutts for the Bay, Morro Bay Mutt Mitts program, which provides free bags to help people pick up after their pets and keep bacteria from pet waste out of our waters. Learn more at www.mbnep.org/mutts-for-the-bay.
