Who We Are
Restorative Partners provides services and programs for those in-custody and for those released from the San Luis County Juvenile Hall, Jail, Honor Farm and State Prisons. Our restorative justice approach focuses on mind, body and spiritual transformation, incorporates trauma informed care, addresses responsibility and accountability, and offers accompaniment through reentry mentorship. We also provide clean and sober living homes for men and for women as well as own and operate a home for women who are ready to reunite with their children and move forward with their lives. The goal in all of our transformative work is to reduce violence and lower recidivism by providing a continuum of care from incarceration through reincorporation to our community.
Our Vision and Mission
We envision a safer community where everyone belongs.
We strive to accomplish this through transforming lives impacted by crime through healing services and relationships.
What We Do
Restorative Partners is a San Luis Obispo County nonprofit that “transforms lives impacted by crime” through restorative justice, reentry support, and housing-focused services for justice-involved people and their families.
Core mission
Restorative Partners focuses on reducing violence and recidivism while promoting healing, accountability, and community safety using a restorative justice and trauma‑informed approach. The organization works with people in custody, those returning from jail or prison, and their families to support long‑term stability and transformation.
In-custody programs
The nonprofit provides in‑custody programs for youth and adults in San Luis Obispo County facilities, including classes, groups, and mentoring aimed at personal growth, recovery, and accountability. These programs help participants build coping skills, address substance use and anger, and prepare for successful reentry.
Reentry and navigation services
After release, Restorative Partners offers reentry navigation, helping participants obtain IDs, housing, transportation, employment support, education connections, and other essential resources through system navigators and a drop‑in center. The organization also provides life skills workshops, support groups, and connections to community partners to stabilize people during the high‑risk reentry period.
Housing and recovery supports
Restorative Partners operates multiple transitional recovery reentry homes that provide 24/7 supported housing, structure, and recovery-oriented services for people returning from incarceration. The emerging Healing and Restoration Campus (HARC) aims to add a larger recovery and housing community with onsite behavioral health care, job training, and social enterprise opportunities.
Health, treatment, and employment pathways
The organization offers outpatient substance use treatment, anger management, Enhanced Care Management (ECM), and housing-related Community Supports under Medi‑Cal to coordinate health and social services. It also runs The Bridge Café as a social enterprise where participants gain job training and work experience that supports their transition to stable employment and independent living.
