Who We Are

We are comprised of a network of people who care deeply about doing our part to end human trafficking. Several of us began countering human trafficking in 2012 as the Mountainbrook Abolitionists, a group that came together through Mountainbrook Community Church in San Luis Obispo. The Mountainbrook Abolitionists raised significant awareness about human trafficking within San Luis Obispo County through conferences, documentary screenings, media engagement, and collaboration with local agencies. The growing demand for our services led to the decision to file for incorporation in August 2015. Soon after, we legally became the Central Coast Freedom Network, a California 501(c)(3). Our mission is to mobilize the community to counter human trafficking and our vision is a Central Coast that is free; free of human trafficking, and free of products made with slave labor.

What We Do

We provide direct services to survivors of human trafficking, and we train case managers to work with survivors of human trafficking with our 40-Hr Human Trafficking Advocate Training. In addition, we run a call line 5 days per week to receive referrals and answer questions. We also build awareness and educate the community about human trafficking with webinars and presentations.
