We need your help. Volunteers make United Ways’ tax assistance and financial education programs possible. United Way promotes community-change strategies to help families meet their basic needs while gaining the financial skills to plan for and accomplish their long-term financial goals.
United Way of SLO County is seeking volunteers to help users navigate the tax software at MyFreeTaxes.org. Duties include helping users create an account and answer any tech related questions. Volunteer does not prepare tax return.

- Arroyo Grande Library
- Los Osos Library
- SLO Library
Dates and Hours:
- Each Sunday between February 20 and April 10 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Spanish speaking volunteers or interpreters are in high demand.
Once you sign up here, a United Way staff member will reach out to you to schedule the specific date(s) and shift(s) you would like to volunteer.
