Translating: Our patients are encouraged to bring translators, but they are not always able to do so. We are looking for volunteers who can either come in person or be available via phone to help translate for our patients and providers. This position can be virtual or in-person.

Front Desk Support: This role would include answering phones and educating our patients about the resources we offer. You would also help schedule, educate, and interact with patients who have any questions.

Clinical Providers: Clinical Providers that are bilingual are high in demand at our clinic, and short in supply. Please submit an expression of interest under Clinical Providers, but be sure to note that you are also bilingual, and in which language.

Are you interested in helping us spread the word about our incredible non-profit and the resources we have to offer? We are looking for volunteers to join us at fun outreach events in SLO County such as wellness fairs, the Madonna Inn EXPO, farmers' markets, SLO Blues Baseball game, and other miscellaneous community events! These events are a fun way to get connected with other like-minded organizations in our community. :)

We are looking for someone to assist with updating our social media sites and increasing the activity. We are currently active on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. If you have experience with these platforms and are hoping to volunteer, please reach out! 

Help us keep our clinic on track by assisting with patient confirmation phone calls! We are looking for volunteers to call patients to remind them of their appointments the day before they are scheduled. This role requires a volunteer who speaks Spanish and English. This position can be done virtually or here in the clinic! On-site training with our EMR system will be provided. :-)

We are looking for volunteers to help us keep our clinic clean for our community and patients. Tasks include basic cleaning such as mopping, sweeping, and dusting. All supplies will be provided. A little housekeeping will go a long way! :-)

Come volunteer with us at the SLO Noor Foundation where we provide free medical, eye, and dental care for uninsured adults! You will work with a diverse population group in a medical or dental clinic environment.  We have a great need for those volunteers who speak Spanish. 

Volunteers needed: Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Medical Doctors, Dentists, Dental Assistants, Optometrists, Specialty Medical Professionals, Medical Assistants, etc.

Walk patients through a basic vision check. Perform vision field tests as well as other vision and diagnostic tests for patients. Assist patients with new glasses. Training will be provided, no experience necessary! Spanish speaking appreciated! 

This role includes checking patients in, answering phones, recovering voicemails, and scheduling patients. Training for our computer system will be provided, no previous experience necessary. Spanish speaking appreciated!

We are looking for people who are eager to assist our volunteer providers through their visits with our patients. Our scribe will be trained on how to use our patient database system and take notes during the patient visit. 

The Donation Manager will help us keep track of the donations we receive from our community. Beyond taking inventory, this person can help us sort the donations and find homes for them if we cannot use them here at the clinic. We receive everything from medical equipment like crutches and leg braces to CPAP machines and medications. A general knowledge of medical equipment would be helpful in recognizing how to best utilize these donations, but it is certainly not necessary. :)
