Join us in the effort to raise awareness and funds for those facing homelessness in our community and march with us from ECHO to the Atascadero Rotunda Building and back. Following the march, enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch. 

 

Volunteer Opportunities: 

 

Set up: 7:45am - 9:00am Assist with set up for our Long Walk Home event. This will involve setting up tables, linens, decor, and water bottle and flag stations.

 

Check in: 8:30am - 10:15am Duties will include checking in all guests who bought a ticket online or are a sponsor. Assist in ticket sales at the door, must be comfortable handling money. All guests will receive a T-shirt at check in that you will need to hand out to them. 

 

Greeter: 8:30am - 10:15am Welcome all guests to the event and direct them to their specific table for check in. Assisting check in with handing out T-shirts to all ticket holders.

 

Crossing Guard: 9:00am - 11:00am You will be responsible for ensuring traffic is stopped at our crossing points in order for our large group to cross safely. We will supply you with a bright vest to wear.

 

Server/Runner: 10:30am - 12:30am Assist our meal provider by serving and running food in from the BBQs. Please be sure to wear closed toes shoes for this position.

 

Clean up: 1:00pm - 2:30pm Assist with clean up and break down of all event aspects. Tables, chairs, decor, and trash pickup.
