The Marine Mammal Center is a nonprofit veterinary research hospital and educational center guided by the shared vision of a healthy ocean. Our mission is to advance global ocean conservation through marine mammal rescue and rehabilitation, scientific research, and education. The Marine Mammal Center is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of ill and injured marine mammals – primarily California sea lions, northern elephant seals, and pacific harbor seals. Our workforce of volunteers and staff work as one community, compassionate and respectful of each other as we work together to complete our mission.
