Would you like to volunteer to help the San Luis Obispo Wind Orchestra while enjoying some quality music? In Chamber Concerts, you get the chance to enjoy a special afternoon of music by some of our small ensembles performing in small group settings. These chamber concerts are light and fun and you get to enjoy chamber music, from solos to twelve instruments, including a clarinet choir, trumpet choir, brass quartet, woodwind quintet and more.
You can't miss this fun-filled event!
All volunteers receive free entry into the concert. We are currently looking for volunteers to help with: Set up of materials before the concert, tear down of materials post-concert and assisting with refreshments and patrons during intermission. Volunteers would arrive 1.5 hours before the event to help with set up and learn the logistics of the concert. During the concert, volunteers may enjoy the concert then return to volunteer duties about 10 minutes before intermission. At intermission volunteers, direct patrons to the restrooms, help with refreshments and assist as needed. Duties are light and the atmosphere is laid back. After intermission, volunteers clean up the snack area and can leave after clean up or stay for the remainder of the concert. We ask volunteers at our chamber concerts to dress in business casual attire.
Our orchestra is a non-profit that has been successfully playing in our community for over 20 years. All of our musicians are volunteers and we count on our community to come together to provide wonderful music for people.
