The Literacy Council for San Luis Obispo County has an ongoing need for volunteer tutors througout all communities in the County. Currently we have most urgent needs for tutors in the Atascadero and Arroyo Grande areas. Tutors work one-on-one with adult learners studying English literacy and language skills.
Volunteer tutors must complete our two-part Tutor Training workshop sessions before working with a learner. Our upcoming Tutor Training sessions are August 6th and 13th at the SLO County Library. The training will be held in the 3rd floor conference room (there is an elevator and stairs) from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM. A $25 enrollment fee is required at your first session.
