Atascadero Printery Foundation

A small group of community members who see the value of the Historic Printery and desire to turn it into a much needed community facility again. The building will house a wide varitety of programs and events in education, cultural events, visual and performing arts, STEM, non profit organizations and be open for the entire community to use afforfably for large and small events.

To save the Historic Atascadero Printery from destruction for use as a Community Arts and Event Center, we have many needs, large and small. Ongoing opportunities include daily building maintenance, monthly work days, fundraising, web site updating, and grant research and writing. There are large immediate needs in tree removal, painting, setting glass in window frames, cleaning, preparation for our anniversary celebration such as helping to install a temporary ramp, general finish carpentry, hanging banners inside and more. The finished building will house a much needed performing arts center along with a working historic printery, and community rooms large and small. It will house activities for all ages, non profit organization meetings and events, educational opportunities, and be available for general community use. The building was the very first to be completed in Atascadero, we feel it should be saved and used for the much needed purposes.
