Independent Living Program

CYC is a youth run orgranization made up of current and former foster youth that strive to create policy development and legislative change locally as well as statewide. CYC is a statewide organization consisting of 30 chapters. Our local chapter is in need of supporters. Supporters are adult volunteers who help these youth make changes within the foster care system. Supporters are expected to attend bimonthly CYC meetings (Thursday 5:00-7:00pm), connecting them with community members or organizations, and attending events such as the Summer Leadership and Policy Conference and Day at the Capitol. Being a supporter does not require a huge time commitment, but is a truly fulfilling oppurtunity and a great way for youth to make connections with positive role models in their community.
