Who We Are
The City of Grover Beach Parks & Recreation Department is committed to providing recreational opportunities for all interested citizens of Grover Beach and San Luis Obispo County.
What We Do
The City of Grover Beach Parks & Recreation department is small and we rely quite a bit on our fabulous volunteers to help us put on several community events throughout the year, such as: a fun kid's event in April to commemorate Arbor Day, a Mother & Son Dinner Dance in May, Spring Garden Tour & Plant Exchange in June, a weekly concert and Farmers' Market from June through September, a 5K/10K walk/run in August, a 9/11 Memorial Art Exhibit and ceremony in September, the Carved Pumpkin Contest & Halloween Activities in October, the annual South County Holiday Parade, Santa's Workshop Fine Art & Craft Faire, and Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony in December, and most importantly, the annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner in January.
Along with special events, we coordinate an annual adult co-ed volleyball league, offer classes for children and adults, and maintain and provide rentals of two community centers and four parks.
