Note: All Shopping Buddies must pass a simple background check process. Therefore, the deadline to sign up for that position is Thursday, July 30th. When you sign up, please enter your phone number so we can get in touch and set up the process for you.

Every year, United Way of San Luis Obispo holds a back-to-school shopping adventure where K-12 students in need go shopping with a caring adult volunteer. This year's event is happening on the morning of Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Kohl's in San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles.

Volunteers are needed to help check-in volunteers and set-up, to check-in children, shop with children ("Shopping Buddy"), and photograph the event. 

Every Shopping Buddy volunteer must pass a background check.  We can do your background check over the phone, and the process only takes a few minutes.  Other volunteer positions do not require a background check.

Sponsoring a child is a $125 donation, but we accept and are very grateful for donations in any amount. Thank you for helping make KidSpree a success every year!
